Industry watch · 14 October 2026

On 14 October 2026, the DRC’s foreign trade minister addressed UPN students, academics and researchers in Kinshasa about the AfCFTA, linking African trade, industrialisation and compliance with standards for Congolese products.

CPL’s editorial perspective

For a business preparing its first regional shipments, a commercial opportunity also requires practical logistics preparation: a precise product description, destination, packaging, available documents and identified contacts. CPL’s editorial reading is to assemble these details before requesting a transport plan. The name of a trade agreement alone does not establish the formalities for a particular consignment.
